I've realized the effect of Global Warming & I think WE
should do something about it as we DO contribute
to Global Warming! SAVE THE EARTH!!
Look at the weather now, It's BURNING!
Compare the temperature of 10 years ago and now!
Hey! If the same amt of temperature increase in the
next 10 years, we are gonna die in no time!

Global warming is the most pressing environmental issue facing the Earth.

An increase in temperature causes climate changes.
A warmer Earth may lead to changes in rainfall patterns,
a rise in sea level, and a wide range of impacts on plants,
wildlife, and humans. When scientists talk about
the issue of climate change,
their concern is about global warming caused by human activities.

With increasing average global temperature, the water
in the oceans expands in volume, and additional water enters
them which had previously been locked up on land in glaciers.
An increase of 1.5 to 4.5 °C is estimated to lead to
an increase of 15 to 95 cm .
The sea level has risen more than 120 metres since the peak of the
last ice age about 18,000 years ago!!

More effects!

Forests, farms and cities will face troublesome new pests and
more mosquito-borne diseases.

Warmer sea surface temperatures will fuel more intense
hurricanes in the southeastern Atlantic and Gulf coasts.

Disruption of habitats such as coral reefs and alpine meadows
could drive many plant and animal species to extinction.

Melting glaciers, early snowmelt and severe droughts
will cause more dramatic water shortages!

STOP GLOBAL WARMING!

1. Recycle everything: newspapers, bottles and cans, aluminum foil, etc.
2. Don't use electrical appliances when you can easily do
by hand, such as opening cans.
3. Use cold water in the washer whenever possible.
4. Re-use brown paper bags to line your trash can instead of plastic bags.
Re-use bread bags and produce bags.
5. Store food in re-usable containers.
6. Save wire hangers and return them to the dry cleaners.
7. Donate used items to a charitable organization or thrift shop.
8. Don't leave water running needlessly.
9. Turn your heat down, and wear a sweater.
10. Turn off the lights, TV, or other electrical appliances when
you are out of a room.
12. Turn down the heat and turn off the water heater
before you leave for vacation.
13. Recycle office and computer paper, cardboard, etc.
14. Use scrap paper for informal notes to yourself and others.
15. Print or copy on both sides of the paper.
16. Use smaller paper for smaller memos.
17. Re-use manila envelopes and file folders.
18. Use dishes, glassware and coffee cups instead of
disposible dishes and cups.

Simple things like these do help too!
